Importing products into your country is actually quite simple.  It is not necessary to pay excess agent fees nor third-party sourcing fees.  There are a number of international Freight Forwarding Companies available to assist you.  These Freight Forwarding companies have satellite offices around the world.  The Freight Forwarder acts as an Agent in delivery of your products.  You can contact your local Freight Forwarder and receive quotes as well as information regarding Customs, Tariffs, etc.  The FF will pick up your goods from the manufacturer and ship them overseas, clear customs, and arrange delivery to the final destination.  This process is strikingly similar to the shipment of goods on a national level. 

The Complete process is as follows:

1.     This most important stage is the Due Diligence stage.  Make sure that you take the time to research your potential manufacturers prior to production and sending payment.  The manufacturer should be willing to provide you with references as well as sample products.

2.     Complete order specifications and payment term agreement with the manufacturing company.  A Pro-Forma Invoice will be completed stating the terms of the agreement.

3.     Typically there will be financial terms established prior to production.  Once these terms are met, production will commence.

4.     When Production is complete and the terms of the agreement have been met.  The finished Products are loaded into a Container and delivered to the vessel that will transport the goods overseas.  (Full Container Shipments).  Less than container Load shipment may be sent via Air Freight or other agreed upon shipment methods.

5.     Once the Products are on board the shipping vessel.  The Freight Forwarder is responsible for delivery to you.  The Freight Forwarder will typically handle all customs clearance and transportation for an agreed upon fee.
